In today’s global 24x7 business environment, organizations need their data and business applications to be constantly accessible—regardless of scheduled system downtime for server upgrades, backups, batch processes, or unplanned outages caused by natural disasters. Rocket iCluster is a high-availability and disaster recovery solution for business applications operating on IBM i that enable continuous access through monitoring, notifying, and self-correcting replication issues.

Rocket iCluster is a powerful tool that Independent Software Vendors (ISV) can leverage for their valued customers. One of Rocket's ISV partners is Computer Guidance Corporation, a leading construction ERP solution provider in North America. According to Tom Niccoli, EVP of Customer Services at Computer Guidance Corporation, "Rocket iCluster is an integral part of our eCMS solution offerings bringing additional value to our customers. With an integrated HA/DR solution, Computer Guidance is more competitive in the marketplace and is benefiting from additional revenue streams and improved customer retention.”

Version 7.1 makes configuring and administrating the HA environment faster and easier by automatically creating remote journals for replication and by allowing new libraries and all their contents to be automatically defined for the product and replicated. Users can now be assured that their replication environments are synchronized at the byte level using the new content-level sync check. iCluster also fixes out-of-sync files automatically and quickly without end-user intervention.

"The enhancements we have made to iCluster are designed to enhance our partners' ability to continue providing great products and services to their customers," says Brian Starr, Vice President and General Manager at Rocket. "We are fully committed to IBM i, and are working with a global network of partners to deliver industry-leading solutions to help organizations protect their data and maintain their business functionality, even in the event of a disaster or outage."
