Generational Equity Announces the Sale of Pro Plas, Inc. to Illinois Valley Plastics

DALLAS, Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Generational Equity, a leading mergers and acquisitions advisor for privately-held, middle-market businesses, today announced the acquisition of its client, Pro Plas, Inc. ("Pro Plas"), headquartered in St. Louis, MO, by Illinois Valley Plastics ("IVP Plastics"), headquartered in Washington, IL. The transaction closed on September 29, 2012. Terms regarding this acquisition were not disclosed.

Pro Plas, Inc. is a custom plastic injection molder of thermoplastics materials, operating twelve modern presses in a thirty thousand square foot climate-controlled environment in St. Louis County, Missouri. The plant operates around-the-clock, six days per week. Their molding press sizes range from 55 Tons to 500 Tons clamping pressure, with shot capacity up to 80 ounces. To complement their molding capabilities, the company offers sonic welding, heat staking and solvent welding assembly, as well as sub-assembly and packaging. They have complete tooling, design, and model making sources for new product development, as well as an in-house tool shop.

IVP Plastics, based in Washington, IL, is a custom injection molder of thermoplastics, serving some of the biggest names in the automotive, agricultural, and heavy equipment industries. Pro Plas has a 25-year history of serving clients in the commercial refrigeration, commercial drink dispensing, and medical/pharmaceutical segments.
