Andritz Q3 net income up 23.8 pct yr-on-yr, sees 2007 net up 18 pct UPDATE

(Recasts lead, provides analyst forecasts) VIENNA (Thomson Financial) - Andritz AG said its net income in the third quarter was up 23.8 pct year-on-year to 34.9 mln eur, in-line with the consensus analyst forecast.

In its outlook for the full-year, Andritz said it expects group net income to rise in-line with expected 2007 revenues gains of around 18 pct.

Andritz's EBIT for the quarter came in at 50.2 mln eur, compared to 42.0 mln eur during the same period a year earlier. Analysts had pegged third-quarter EBIT at 47.5 mln eur.

The industrial conglomerate's order intake during the third-quarter was down 21.8 pct year-on-year to 614.4 mln eur, while its order backlog at the end of the quarter stood at 3.722 bln eur, an increase of 4.5 pct on the year.

The decline in third-quarter order intake outstripped analyst expectations, which had placed the figure at 674 mln eur.

Third-quarter revenues were up 3.7 pct year-on-year to 762.6 mln eur, Andritz said in a news release.

Andritz said it expects full-year revenues for 2007 to come in at around 3.2 bln eur and rise to approximately 3.5 bln eur in 2008.
