As the Chief Financial Officer, Evgeny covers global financial, planning and accounting issues of SEMrush. His responsibilities include financial and management accounting, corporate planning and budgeting, investment analysis, tax accounting, treasury, auditing and controlling. He also oversees accounting by local standards in all the Company's offices and is responsible for the corporate structuring, along with SEMrush's Legal and Investor Relations functions.
Evgeny joined SEMrush in 2019 from Luxoft (NYSE:LXFT), where he served as the CFO since 2017. He led transformation and development of Luxoft finance function as company grew and expanded internationally. Luxoft was sold to DXC Technology (NYSE:DXC) in 2019 for $2 billion in cash.
Prior to Luxoft Evgeny served as the CFO and a management board member of MOEX (Moscow Exchange MICEX-RTS). He led several successful major corporate M&A transactions and was responsible for overseeing the finance, investor relations, procurement and administrative functions.
Prior to his role with MOEX, Evgeny served as a Managing Director and a Partner at Da Vinci Capital Management, an independent investment manager focusing on mid-market private equity investments in Russia and other Eurasian Economic Union countries. Other positions included: a deputy Chief Executive Officer at New Square, a real estate company; consultant at McKinsey and Company; Trader and Marketing Officer of Treasury at Citibank. Evgeny's Board memberships and affiliations included RTS Stock Exchange and B2B-Center.
He is a member of CNBC Global CFO council since 2017. Kommersant TOP-1000 ranked him as a top CFO in Financial Services in 2014 – 2016, and as top CFO for Investor Relations by Extel in 2015.
Evgeny completed Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He holds Master's degree in International Economics from the Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
