Robert M. Davis joined Merck in April 2014 as the chief financial officer and executive vice president, Global Services for Merck & Co., Inc.

Prior to Merck, Rob worked for Baxter, International Inc., where he served as the company's corporate vice president and president of Medical Products from 2010 through 2014. In this role, Rob oversaw a range of businesses with products used in the delivery of fluids and drugs to patients, and in the treatment of end-stage kidney disease. Prior to this, Rob served as corporate vice president and president of Baxter's renal business.

He served as Baxter's corporate vice president and chief financial officer from 2006 through 2010, and the company's treasurer from 2004 through 2006. Prior to joining Baxter as treasurer in November 2004, Rob worked at Eli Lilly and Company, where he held numerous positions of increasing responsibility over 14 years.

Rob serves on the Board of Directors for Duke Energy Corporation and is a member of its finance and audit committees.

In addition, Rob serves on the Board of Project Hope, a non-for-profit organization focused on empowering healthcare workers to deliver expert care when and where it's needed most.

He previously served on the Board of Directors for CR Bard, and was a member of its finance, audit and science and technology committees. Rob also previously served on the board of trustees for Rush University Medical Center and as a member of its finance committee.

Rob earned his Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University School of Law, and his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, after graduating from Miami University with a bachelor's degree in finance.
