48% CFOs believe U.S. economy on the path for a soft landing, CNBC CFO Council survey finds
According to the most recent quarterly poll by the CNBC CFO Council, CFOs expressed optimism regarding the Federal Reserve's performance and are growing more confident in its ability to achieve a "soft landing" for the economy.
Even though chief financial officers anticipate that inflation will continue to surpass the Fed's 2% goal until at least 2025, a considerable number of CFOs expect the central bank to start reducing interest rates in September.
