Q&A with Spencer Mehlman & Tom Mursell:
Q: How did you get started and where did the idea come from?
I was approached by an 18-year old that had been accepted to study law at university, but chose not to go. But he struggled to find a website to show him his options. And together we conceived NotGoingToUni.
Q: What has been your biggest challenge?
Growing the number of live opportunities for young people, and the number of visitors in tandem, so young people have enough options to apply for and companies have enough applications.
Q: What has been your biggest success?
Generating approximately 7,000-8,000 applications per month means we are having a real impact on youth unemployment and helping young people to think outside of the box and realize that success can be built outside of traditional university.
Q: What was the best business advice you received when starting out?
Ensure that your clients enjoy the process of doing business with you and never give up!
